Detroit Steel Design (Urban Jewelry)

Detroit Steel Design is born of Ken’s love of muscle car restoration and Mira’s love of handmade one-of-a-kind jewelry. Each piece is made from upcycled and reclaimed metal including bits and pieces of American Muscle Cars.

To create my designs, I integrate metal removed during the automobile restoration process. I love to feature rusted parts and pieces, all of which are sealed to protect your clothing. I also collect automobile emblems and embelish purses, handbags, wallets . . . you name it.

One of my earring designs will be featured in a how-to article in Jewelry Art Magazine, in December of 2009. Look for it at Barnes and Noble, it is published by Interweave.
